PMN Welcomes New Partner
The Plant Management Network is proud to
announce its partnership with the
United Soybean Board (USB), an
organization made up of 69 farmer-directors
who oversee the investments of the Soybean
Checkoff program on behalf of all U.S.
soybean farmers. As a partner, the Soybean
Checkoff supports PMN’s mission: to enhance
the health, management, and production of
crops for the benefit of growers. USB
supports soybean growers directly as a major
patron of
Focus on Soybean.
Introducing Focus on Peanut
The Plant Management Network (PMN) has developed a new
prototype for its growing family of
commodity-specific webcast resources, titled
Focus on Peanut. Like Focus on
Soybean and Focus on Potato,
Focus on Peanut webcasts will provide
peanut producers with applied, science-based information
on crop protection and production. View
two sample webcasts by John P. Beasley, Jr.,
University of Georgia:
-
Burrower Bug of Peanut
-
2011 Southeast USA Peanut Production
PMN is currently seeking sponsorships to
fund the continued development of these
webcasts. Agribusiness companies, commodity
organizations, processors, and other peanut
stakeholders can benefit growers by
supporting these high-quality, science-based
educational materials. To learn more,
please contact Albert Culbreath, University
of Georgia, at
spotwilt@uga.edu, or Phil Bogdan, Plant
Management Network, at
pbogdan@scisoc.org.
PMN Education Center Revamped, Retooled
The
PMN Education Center, the central access
point for our growing collection of
webcasts, has a new look and features.
Webcasts are now searchable by keyword and
can also be viewed by commodity. In
addition, links to open-access webcasts, as
well as all subscription-based webcasts,
like
Focus on Potato and
Focus on Soybean, are now conveniently
featured on the PMN Ed Center’s homepage.

latest featured webcasts for soybean,
